Renault reveals prices for new Megane sport range

Renault has confirmed pricings for the new Megane Renaultsport 265 range, which will be available in showrooms from April.

The manufacturer said the 265 Cup will initially be available for £24,825 on-the-road, with the 265 priced at £26,025. Car leasing could be an option for motorists who would like to try the new models but are unable to afford the upfront costs.

According to Renault, the latest Renaultsport 265 should tempt drivers with a combination of improved performance statistics, more power and greater torque.

The new model boasts an extra 15hp on its predecessor and it offers zero to 62 mph in six seconds exactly, rather than 6.1. It also has a top speed of 158 mph, which is up by 2 mph on the previous version.

There are a number of technological features in the new model, with drivers able to switch between two power settings using the Renaultsport Dynamic Management system.

Renault has also drawn attention to the car's "striking interior", which features carbon grey Renaultsport leather, red seatbelts and red stitching throughout the cabin.
