Car leasing 'is sensible in the current climate'
14 March 2012
Car leasing is a sensible option for businesses during the tough economic climate that the UK is currently experiencing.
Toby Poston, head of communications at the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association said that the advantages of renting cars, such as regulating cash flow and lowering start up capital, meant that it was a more beneficial option than privately purchasing motors at this current time.
"If firms are taking on a new member of staff or a new contract, they will often rent a car for the first few weeks or months until they feel confident about making a longer term investment," he said.
Mr Poston explained that even in the longer term car leasing can still play a vital role for companies, with many vehicle providers willing to supply firms with a pool of cars for their staff to use when they need to make the occasional business journey.
