2012 EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show announced

News Home >> Car Leasing >> 2012 EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show announced

Car leasing customers who like to keep aware of all the possible changes in the industry may want to check out the EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show on Wednesday April 18th.

The show has been organised by Fleet World magazine in conjunction with the British Vehicle Rental & Leasing Association and will provide insight into upcoming models and the latest low carbon innovations.

In a tough competitive and economic environment, the advantages of leasing a fuel efficient and green car cannot be underestimated. Not only will businesses save money on petrol and diesel and reduce their organisation's carbon footprint, but they could also avoid many of the expensive upfront costs normally associated with changing a fleet.

The exhibition will be housed at the home of British motoring: the new state of the art Silverstone wing.

Those who attend will be able to test drive the latest hybrid engines and electric range extender devices, as well as the latest green innovations in traditional petrol and diesel-powered models.

Furthermore, a host of experts will be on hand to answer any questions fleet managers may have about any of the practicalities associated with hiring a hybrid or electric vehicle, such as charging problems or future drivetrain strategies.

Ross Durkin, managing editor of Fleet World, said last year's event was extremely successful, with ticket sales totalling twice what was expected, but April's event promises to be even bigger.

"This year's EV and Low CO2 Fleet Show will allow company decision makers to evaluate all the options for their fleet by talking to the industry's leading experts in automotive technology. There's enormous potential for electric vehicles in the fleet sector – traditionally the earliest adopters of new vehicle technology," he added.

One of the main displays is likely to be from Toyota. The Japanese manufacturer has just announced that its Prius range will be updated this year.
